It’s Book Fair Time!

Our theme this year is a Luau“It’s a Reading Celebration!”

We are in need of volunteers for this year’s book fair which will take place in February. February 3rd is our set up day where we prepare and decorate for our KMS Family. The Book Fair Luau will open Monday, February 6th and end on Friday, February 10th. Family Night is set for Tuesday, February 7th from 6:00-8:00.

Please come out and share your time to help raise money for our school and a Reading Celebration!

  • 10:15 – 12:15
  • 12:15 – 2:15
  • 2:15 – 4:15
  • 6:00 – 8:00 (Tuesday only)

Mark your calendar for Friday, January 13th from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Tickets are on sale Thursday and Friday morning before school at 8:15 AM in the gym for $5.00.

Tickets will also be on sale at the door Friday evening for $7.00.

PRE-GAME BASKETBALL PARTY

  • Thursday, January 12th from 4 pm to 4:45 PM.
  • Chick Fil A sandwich, chips and a drink for $6.00
  • PRE-ORDER only.  Cash and checks payable to KMS PTA.

Students can then attend the Girls and Boys basketball games against NW.

Girl’s game begins at 4:45 pm.

Boys game immediately following girl’s game.

Admission will be $2.00 and will cover BOTH games.

Admission is not included in the pre-order and must be paid at the door.

All students are to be picked up by 7:30 PM.

Please note that spirit wear will be on sale that afternoon AND staff will be available in the lower computer lab from 4 pm to 7:30 pm to help parents and guardians register and use the Parent Assist online tool.

Reflections Winners!

KMS PTA Announces our own County level Reflections winners!

The PTA is proud to announce that 4 of our students won at the County level for Reflections this year.These students were able to beautifully capture this year’s theme, “Diversity Means . . . “.A special congratulations goes to:

  • 2nd place visual arts, Shreya Prabhakar, 8th grade
  • 1st place film, Ashley Diorio, 8th grade
  • 4th place, musical composition, Nicholas Maier, 6th grade
  • 3rd place, photography, Michaela Stutts, 7th grade
  • Honorable Mention, visual arts, Tyler King, 6th grade
Those students will be able to attend an award ceremony on January 6th at the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center.  All County level entries will be on display from January 6th thru January 17th at the Cultural Arts Center in downtown at 200 N. Davie Street.
